FacilityShield Terms of Service
Effective August 25, 2026
1. Who we are.
FacilityShield is a software product operated by BIFSCORP, a facility service and remediation company headquartered in South San Francisco, California. These terms are the agreement between BIFSCORP (“we,” “us”) and the company or person using FacilityShield (“you”).
2. What FacilityShield is.
Software for managing buildings: work orders, compliance deadlines, incident reports, vendor records, inspections, accessibility checks, equipment and maintenance planning, document storage, and related tools.
3. Your account.
Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your password private; we offer two-step login and recommend it. Team members join your account only through invites you send.
4. Plans and payment.
FacilityShield access is included with your BIFSCORP service agreement; there is no separate software charge unless your agreement says otherwise. Any plan we bill directly is one flat monthly price per company — never per person. Cancel anytime; your service runs to the end of the month you paid for. We may change prices with 30 days written notice — changes never apply to a month you already paid.
5. Your data is yours.
Buildings, work orders, photos, documents, and records you put into FacilityShield belong to you. We use them only to run the service for you. You can request a full copy or deletion of your data at any time through the support page.
6. Fair use.
Don’t use FacilityShield to break the law, don’t try to break into other accounts, don’t upload malicious software, don’t resell access, and only run website accessibility checks on sites you own or have permission to check.
7. Honest limits.
FacilityShield provides information and organization tools — it is not legal advice, engineering advice, or a guarantee. Compliance calendars, accessibility checks, readiness scores, and cost estimates help you plan, but they do not guarantee that any building, website, or practice meets any law or code. Confirm important decisions with licensed professionals.
8. Availability.
We work hard to keep FacilityShield running and monitor it around the clock, but it is provided “as is” — it may occasionally be down for maintenance or repairs, and we do not promise uninterrupted service.
9. Limit of liability.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Ending service.
You can cancel anytime. We may suspend an account that violates these terms — with warning for minor issues, immediately for serious abuse. If we ever discontinue FacilityShield, you get at least 60 days notice and a full copy of your data.
11. Changes to these terms.
We will email account holders at least 30 days before any change takes effect.
12. Governing law.
California law governs these terms. Disputes are handled in the courts of San Mateo County, California.
